I am thankful for Coke, or there is
no way I would be awake after the last
2 weeks I have had!

Leftover Pizza from my
birthday dinner, it has
been my lunch the past 3 days.

The hobo baby's new ponytail,
isn't it the cutest?

That this wasn't any worse,
this can be fixed.
In the meantime I am loving me
a nice new mini-van,
with satellite radio.

This picture Cooper did in art,
it makes me so happy. I immediately
taped it to the wall. That's some
definite talent for a 5 year old!

Friends and family, all the
calls, meals being brought in,
Callie stopping by. I just might
get through this! Chloe is feeling a
little bit better, but not out of
the woods yet!

Baby Shower

This was the invite I made,
I dolled it up with jewels and glitter
before I sent it off.

My fabulous friend Kristen, of
Baked Bliss, made these amazing
cupcakes to go with the colors.
They were filled with chocolate mousse,
and were delish! I shouldn't have made
anything else!

The spread, it was delicious!

This was a baby shower for my darling friend Callie. I am so thankful they moved into our ward, and we were able to become so close. It was such a fun shower, and I can't wait to meet their sweet new girl!

The joy of boys

Andy thought he would be nice, and clean out his salamander habitat. He rinsed all the dirt out of the bowls (even though they were just going to be filled again, I guess he wanted clean dirt), an he did it right into the bathroom sink. Imagine his surprise when the sink wouldn't drain. He was a little hesitant about telling Jon, but quickly realized there was no way he wasn't going to notice (we only have one bathroom, he'd have to go in eventually).

As you can see, Jon wasn't very pleased. I tried to get him to look on the bright side. Andy was trying to do something good, he just didn't know the correct way, it only took about 2o minutes to fix, and it got the cabinet under our sink reorganized.

There's always something exciting when you have sons!

My Calendar

When you have 5 kids (probably even less), and a life, and a church calling, and a job, and a husband, and friends, and school responsibilities, and extra-curricular activities, you have to find a way to keep it all together!

Pottery Barn used to make a fabulous desk calendar, that was blank and big. I LOVED it, because it was big enough to write in the boxes, but blank so I could decorate it supercute each month. It was an activity I looked forward to doing every month. They stopped making it, and I ran out. For the last 2 years I have been trying all sorts of things.

Then one day I went to my sister-in-law's house, and I saw her giant dry erase calendar. I had to have one for myself. It took a couple of months to get the money (it really wasn't that expensive, just wasn't the right time), and I finally got it.

I have been busily making magnets, and I can't wait for October to do it all Halloweeny ( I said weeny).

As you can see, each kid has their own color magnet with their initial, so they can see what they have going on each day. I have birthdays on the board, the cafeteria menu for the younger kids school, everything.

I love it, how can something so simple make me so happy? I love walking into my kitchen and looking at it everyday! If you want info on it, let me know.

Also, if you haven't noticed, I have an Etsy shop, not a lot on it yet, just because I need to go to bed. Take a peek when you can though! Help a sister out people!

And yes, I have the biggest Birthday Cake on my day. 34 this week, I am an old lady!

Exciting, not so exciting...

Macy FINALLY got a tooth, pretty exciting.

Macy biting me while nursing last night with said tooth, not exciting.

Macy learning how to walk and climb, exciting.

Macy standing in high chairs, grocery carts, strollers, etc..., not exciting.

Chloe has a cell phone, which is nice when I need to call them to tell them to walk to the library after school, because I am just too lazy to pick them up right now. Exciting for Chloe.

Chloe forgetting her cell phone at home, not exciting.
(It was pretty funny today, I gave her my cell phone, and told her I would use hers. I have to drop her off at one campus, which is a block south of Andy's. I then dropped Andy off, as I was almost out of the parking lot, I look over to find Chloe running and waving her arms. She did have her cell phone. The poor girl ran across both campuses with her backpack, lunchbox & violin, to catch up with me. It was actually pretty exciting, because I bet she won't forget her phone again!)

Chloe & Andy's new school, exciting.

Said new school not serving lunch, hence I have to pack lunches DAILY, not exciting! (I know some moms have their kids pack their own lunches, but I don't feel right about that. It;s my job to feed my kids, and what else am I doing that is so important I can't pack my kids lunch? I have to work on that guilt I guess!)

Slightly Addicting

So I have been a terrible blogger as of late. Here's a little run down of things that are filling my time:

  1. laundry
  2. cleaning
  3. carpooling
  4. cleaning
  5. macy
  6. feeding macy
  7. changing macy
  8. keeping macy happy
  9. keeping macy occupied
  10. laundry again
  11. carpooling some more
  12. sewing
  13. throwing parties
  14. homework
  15. cleaning
  16. holding macy
  17. dreaming of my old life
  18. loving macy
  19. getting ready for our birthday season (kicked it off with Macy's)
  20. organizing my kitchen
  21. cleaning out my makeup drawer

The list goes on and on and on and on and on...

I have a few things I am excited about, so you will see me soon, I promise!

As you can see, I am on kind of a scrapbook kick right now. Sorry for all of those out there who could care less! Life is strange now with just the babe and I at home together. We are still getting used to it. She misses her friends, especially Andy. On the upside, I am getting a lot more done. The little stinker still isn't walking, and still doesn't have any teeth, isn't that crazy? I guess I should be thankful about the teeth part, considering I am still nursing, and she is still a biter. Life is good, I hear the stinker now, so I've got to go!

Too Funny not to post

A study recently conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features.

However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.
