A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the Pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, "I would like to buy some Cyanide." The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?" The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband."
The pharmacist's eyes got big and he exclaimed, "Lord have mercy! I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband. That's against the law! I'll lose my license! They'll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!" The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife. The pharmacist looked at the picture and replied, "Well now, that's different. You didn't tell me you had a prescription."
Can anybody explain to me why I am more hungry after I eat a banana, than before I do? Whenever I just eat a plain banana, within 20 minutes I feel like I am STARVING. Is that weird? Does it happen to anyone else?
Let's be serious, look at those eyes! I love how they match the sapphire in my ring
I could just eat those chubby little fingers
The ears, gotta love them
That tongue, always that tongue!
I had to put pictures of this girl on, they are just too darling not to! I always wanted blue eyes, I begged my dad for colored contacts for YEARS. I was sure it would be my sure fire way to get any man I wanted if I had gorgeous blue eyes, to go along with my hair. Now all my kids have some sort of blue eye. I love it!
(By the way I made that bow too, isn't it darling?!?)
Buffy's favorite part of the day, Grandpa Messana's CREAMPUFFS
Buffy counting her money
Look at that sweet Lola
Probably 30 pictures of my kids together, and not a single one that is great. I wanted to kill them!
Waiting for the hunt
Grandma & Grandpa Messana
So much food and so much fun at my mom's house. Lasagna, salad, french bread, deviled eggs, ham, rolls, potatoes, cream puffs, canolis, tuxedo cake, lemon cake, strawberries, chocolate cake... It was a feast! We all brought eggs, and a lot of people put money in them. My mom's wonderful friend Jennifer comes, and she brought eggs, and 2 twenties, a ten spot, and some fives. Buffy got enough over the weekend to buy a new DS game, and Andy & Cooper pulled together and have enough tog o buy Monsters vs. Aliens for the Wii. Chloe is putting hers towards girl's camp. We had such a great time, and the weather was so fantastic. What a great weekend we had, I am so thankful. I wish it wasn't over!
I love this action shot, check out Austin, mid-air, in the background
Lovey, Lovey, Lovey...
The kids anxiously awaiting the hunt...
Saturday morning, we headed over to my mom's for pancakes, and the boys (Johnny, Jimmy & Jon) helped my mom with her yard, and other things, the kids helped around the house to earn money. Most Saturdays the kids go over to do chores. My mom is so good to her grandchildren. Amber & I nursed babies, ate breakfast, and talked. That afternoon we headed over to Jon's mom's house. The kids had a great time with their cousins, unfortunately we decided to do the Easter Egg hunt at the wrong time, it was rainy the whole time we were out there. The kids didn't seem to mind, but I was FREEZING! Unfortunately the water ruined most of Andy's candy. no biggie though, he knew he was getting more the next day.
Afterwards we stopped at Fiesta Mall on the way home, because I really hate not having something new to wear on Easter. I had given up on having anything green, but I wanted something. I walked in the store just as they were putting out this cute sweater, and GREEN cami's. I was thrilled.
By the time we got home I was so tired. Stayed up late to make bows & ribbons & flower for the next day, had to make a quick trip to the store for the Easter Bunny, and then off to bed. I prayed for an Easter Miracle that night, and guess what, it happened. Macy slept through the night, AND she was good at church and at my mom's. Miracles really do happen!
No wonder Macy loves Uncle Johnny, he gives her things like pizza & chocolate when Mom isn't watching!
This face is too cute!
I talked everyone into going to the park just to hang out. This was before I knew we would have hurricane force winds, ad freezing temps. We decided to do it anyways, with mom's house as back-up. Everyone brought picnic dinners, and treats. We brought skateboards, plasma cars, bikes, bats, balls, nerf toys, etc... Our plan was to play until the kids could play no more. Our plan worked, unfortunately it had the down side of wearing the parents out also! Needless to say, we had a blast, and I can't wait to do it again!
We had a great weekend that included, but was not limited to...
Lots of bike riding Lots of inspiration from Conference Date night with Wright's & Ross' Homemade Sundaes after Priesthood with Ross' Lots of cleaning Hanging out with my fam at my mom's on Sunday Snotty noses Shopping Laughing Zombie killing (Johnny, I'm so glad you came by for a bit!) Wonderful Weather Road Rash
Just found out that Chloe & Andy have fantastic lottery numbers to get into school next year, I am THRILLED! I am getting excited for all the Easter Fun coming up this weekend. Hoping that the weather stays nice. How was your weekend?
I think there should me Mother's Anonymous meetings. I can work on my 30 day chip for not yelling, maybe my 90 day chip for going with the flow... Heck, I don't care what I work towards as long as it gets me the hell out of this house!
I should have rolled over and gone back to bed this morning...
Macy woke up 3 times last night, this shouldn't surprise me because she has done this the last 4 nights.
None of the kids woke up on their own like normal.
Andy was in one of his fabulous moods.
Cooper spilt his milk & cereal.
Buffy was whiny.
Chloe had an attitude.
Mom called to tell me she needed me to take them, no big deal. We left a few minutes later than normal, but we are always early so I wasn't worried. We pick up Joe, and I realize I forgot some papers that have to be turned in today, and Buffy & Cooper forgot their lunches. By the time we head back out, I am panicking that we are going to be late. We got there in the nick of time.
Macy begins to cry because there is no one in the car to keep her occupied, no biggie, I'm used to it. The bad thing is she decides to fall asleep a few blocks away from home, why is this bad? Because she does not stay asleep whenever I get her out of the car. Nice little catnap.
I head in to start making cupcakes for Chloe & Andy's class. Macy cooperates for a while. I can only find one of my pans, so it is going to take a while.
While I am frosting the 3 pan, Macy decides to flip out of the Bumbo, and does a face plant on the table(I am happy it wasn't all the way to the ground). Macy's 1st goose egg.
By this point Macy is beyond tired, so I put her in her crib. I finish frosting and go to check on her. She is straddling the crib bars, and asleep. I worry about her, and wonder if any child has ever broke their legs in their sleep, because they are tangled in the bars. I worry what it will look like when I take my 7 month old into the ER with a goose egg & bruise, and a broken leg, so I decided to gently move her.
She wakes up, and flips out. I put her binky in and go take my shower.
I am looking forward to bookclub tonite, I love having a night away, with NO children. I'm even psyched to go Visiting Teaching these days.
Don't get me wrong, I adore my children. If I were given the chance to go back and do it all over again, I would. These days are one in a million, most of the time I just laugh it off. Today I decided to post it, so you could feel good about your days. There is some humor in it, you have to admit.
Even after everything, I am looking forward to Macy waking up, I love how she snuggles when she first wakes up, I love hearing her talk to herself in the crib. I am looking forward to surprising Chloe & Andy with the cupcakes, that this morning I told them there was no way I would be able to do it. I can't wait to hear about Cooper's day, and listen to him & Joe play in the back of the car on the way home(I'm usually the commander). I can't wait to see Buffy's red hair shining on the playground as I wait for Coop to get out of class. It's all good. Now after writing this, I am laughing about my morning. Some people can't handle it. I just let it roll off my shoulder, but only because I know that every once in a while I get to leave. Yea for bookclub!
The 3 Musketeers Lola, Macy & William Macy looks like a monster now! (Notice her darling toes)
I love this picture of her, she was just trying to figure Joe out. She loves Joe-Joe, what a good cousin!
We had a busy weekend. Jon and I had little date night Friday, finally. Headed to the mall with Macy, nothing too exciting, but at least it wasn't grocery shopping like it normally is! Saturday morning, Chloe & Andy had a placement test for a school we are trying to get them into. I dropped Buffy off at an Easter party, then Jon & I headed to the doctor with Macy & Coop. After the doctor we headed back to the easter party (which was fabulous, thanks Susan), and headed to get Chloe & Andy. We went home & did chores, Chloe and I went to Old Navy for a little shopping, then we headed to my mom's for our P. family Easter party. It was so fun seeing my cousins & aunts & uncles. It was the 1st time the 3 babies were together also. Sunday was the usual church, then had lunch at my mom's with everyone. The weather was fabulous, I am so enjoying it! Anyhow, wanted to say hi, and let you know I haven't forgotten about blogging, Macy just doesn't make it very easy. I am typing one-handed as we speak, so it takes a very long time!
