Back to reality

So we are on our 2nd day of real life now. The kids have adjusted pretty well, Macy on the other hand, has not! 2 miserable nights, she is lonely during the day, she hasn't popped out a tooth yet, even though she has been teething for almost 2 months. I am reaching my breaking point!

So we are keeping busy with book reports, reports on famous people, fieldtrips, church stuff, new babies, etc... We are at church 4 days a week, I am starting to really dislike it! Sundays, Tuesdays (Buffy has achievement days), Wednesday (Jon & Chloe have mutual), Thursdays (Andy has scouts). If we were in our building it might not be so bad, but it is a 25 minute drive roundtrip, and Buffy & Andy's things are only an hour or so long. It is getting really old!

I am on the hunt for Chloe & Buffy's easter dresses, hoping I can stick with a certain color scheme, we shall see. It is so hard for Chloe, I wish she was still a little girl!

Our stove is on the fritz, not good. So we are watching craigslist like a hawk, not really in a place where we can go out and buy a new one right now. Just one more thing to worry about.

I also happen to have laundry piled to my CEILING in the bathroom. That's what happens when your husband is home for 5 days, and all you want to do is have fun with the kids. I feel like yodeling everytime I walk in there!

I am contemplating babysitting a 2 year old, but I can't decide if that is insanity. Hopefully I will get the right inspiration.

On an upnote, I am LOVING the weather. It is so gorgeous outside, I love Spring, at least for the 2 or 3 weeks it is here! I really wish I had a hammock or a porch swing (I guess I would need a porch though).

Sweet girl is crying, so I should go tend to her. Even though she is a monster, man I adore her!!!

I was excited to see that Jon has long enough arms for a self portrait with all of our family in the shot!

Flyin' high

I can't decide if I am completely happy with our decision to go to the Airshow, but it was fun. The backs of my calves are quite toasty, there was some dehydration, a lot of heat, so much walking, not a lot of preparation, but it was still fun. I think we will think it through a lot more if we decide to go again. The Thunderbirds were awesome though, that was very cool! Always an adventure.

It was the 1st time that having so many children paid off, as we were walking, a soldier in a van pulled over and asked if we wanted a ride. There were a billion people around us, so we jumped in before they asked someone else. He told us when we were in the car that they were looking for older people, or families with lots of kids to give rides to. (fist pump) YES! Man it was good having 5 red heads yesterday!

Phoenix Children's Museum

The kids thought this shoe storage place was cool

This is the back of a pickup truck

I would love to do this somewhere,
it is so pretty with all the prisms shining everywhere!

So we finally took the kids to the Phoenix Children's Museum today. They had a blast. By far I think the noodle forest was their favorite, but they really had fun in it all. After a few hours we left for lunch, then Jon dropped Chloe & Andy back off and they stayed until it closed. If you haven't been yet, put it on your to do list!

As you can see, Macy wasn't too sure about the Noodle Forest.

Macy's 1st Otter Pop, she loved it as you can see.
I am happy to say that the shirt survived also!

Wild Kingdom/Wild West

Macy loves Doug & Holly,
and it's just nice to have someone around that she'll be happy with!

As we were leaving this was on the wall,
I was disgusted. It fell off the wall, and
we flipped out. It was pretty funny!

This is what the inside of
Pinnacle Peak Patio looks like.
Cowboys don't wear ties, so if
you go to eat with one on, they cut
it off and staple it to the ceiling.
My dad loved this place, so after he died
we all went one night wearing his ties,
so they are up there somewhere.

The fam with Jim Fowler

Cute cowgirl...

A few weeks ago I got some letter in the mail from Mutual of Omaha, I thought it was junk mail, but opened it anyways. There was an invitation inside for a free evening with Jim Fowler at Pinnacle Peak Patio. I passed it on to Jon, and didn't really think about it again. Jon R.S.V.P.'d, and it was last night. It was so much cooler than I had imagined. Jon's company has there money in that bank, and this was for people with big accounts, or people they wanted to get that had big accounts. Sometimes it's good to be married to Jon. They had free face painting, caricaturists, balloon artists, goodie bags... All the food & drinks were free, I introduced my kids to Shirley Temples. Kids had burgers, adults had steak & chicken. Jim Fowler sat at the table next to us, and kept looking at Macy. Then he brought out all the cool animals. Afterwards there were smores on the Patio. All in all a pretty cool night, especially because it didn't cost us a dime!

In honor of...

( a much cuter picture!)

I'll spare you the picture, but Macy is sporting a nice GREEN nose for St. Patty's, no pinching her I guess! So glad I didn't buy a $5 old navy shirt!

Auntie again

Pictures of nephew (yet-to-be-named), Amber had a c-section last night, the little stinker was had turned breech again. 9 pounds, maybe it was good for Amber's little body that he was breech. Went and loved on him for a bit this morning. So the 3 Musketeers are complete now.

This is how we sled in Phoenix. Gotta love it!

Lola Rose

Lola Rose is here. Cami did fantastic, and I have a new, sweet little niece. 6 pounds 9.8 ounces, just a petite little thing, just what Cami wanted. I am so proud of her, and can't wait to love on that baby some more!

No Hidden Agendas

I am not making any political commentary, maybe I voted for him, maybe I didn't. Let's be serious though, whether you voted for him or not, this is funny. So laugh people!

Downtown Adventure

So we headed over to the Ross' at about 6:00. We hopped on the lightrail, and headed downtown. We got off around Central & Roosevelt area, and started walking, trying to find a place to eat. The poor people at Baja Grill were counting their drawers when we walked in, they weren't very happy. After dinner we hopped onto the Van Buren bus and headed to the Children's Museum. There was a 2 hour line, just to get a number to get inside. Needless to say, we didn't wait. Then we were going to go to the Science Center, but on First Friday's it is for adults only. So we just walked around downtown, the kids were freezing. It was fun though. We headed over to Az Center for ice cream, crazy right? By the time we made it back to the station for the train, the kids were pooped. I just kept telling them it was an adventure. Macy was an angel the whole night which really helped things. Unfortunately being out in the cold gave Coop an ear infection, and he was up crying all night, things are good now though! So lesson learned, next month we will be there right @ 5:00, maybe even a little earlier!

First Friday

So tonight we are taking the 3 kids we have (Chloe & Andy won't be home until 11:00 or so) to First Friday. It is very cool if you have not done it. Tonight the Children's Museum, and possibly the Science Center are on our to do lists. We are going to take the Lightrail downtown, to get the full effect. Buffy & Coop are super excited.

Today was the last day of school, now we have 2 weeks of Spring break. It will be fun trying to find things to keep them occupied. Especially after this, this, this, and this.

Macy is done sitting on my lap, so I must be off. have a great weekend!
Beware of cuteness overload!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Life, it's neverending!

I finally got through the birthday party, the baptism invitations for numerous things, sister's baby shower, school projects, etc... Now I am gearing up for bookclub (tonite @ my house), R.S. birthday dinner (my new calling), Amber's shower, pinewood derby, work stuff, school projects.

I have been away for a long time, I am sorry.

I will be back, I promise!
