My kids...
Chloe's leggings totally rock, she is a roxtar!
Andy had the force with him as Obi Won.
I had to totally convince Buffy into the cat costume, she
wanted to be a dead Can-Can girl, and I just
wasn't into it. Cooper refused to wear the Transformer
costume my mom bought him, and chose Andy's old costume.
C'est La Vie...

Is it just me or is she seriously gorgeous?

The 2 cutest cats ever!!!

The cousins & grandma.

Halloween is over, now I have to get ready for Coop's birthday tomorrow. Here we go...

Happy Hauntings!

Hope you all have a fantastically spooky Halloween!

Save it! (New Date)

Due to a family member's previous engagement, we are switching the date to the following Saturday, December 13th. Hope this works still for everyone!

Many of you have been asking me about our Annual Christmas Party. You will be happy to know that we will be doing it again this year. We realized what a mistake it was to skip it last year. So I just want you all to save the date, Saturday, December 6th. Invites will be going out soon, but I wanted to make sure you all know enough time in advance. Mom and I started planning the menu yesterday, you won't want to miss it!

Mormon Mommy

I found this site. A very easy way to find other Mormon Mommies, not that those are the only mommies I'm interested in... But afterall, I am a Mormon Mommy, and pretty proud of it! Just thought you all might be interested!

My Brood

(Cooper & Andy had fun with the
markers on the way home from our photo shoot)

I decided to combine all my kids blogs into one. It's on the sidebar as My Brood, for those of you who like to look in every once in a while. I lost some pictures along the way, but I am working at getting them all back together!

Weekend Update

The Cousins

Chloe the Roxstar

Jimmy, Uncle Kirk & Johnny

Mimi & Tommy

Grandma & Macy

We had a busy, busy weekend. Friday started out with the Fall Festival at the kids school, we stayed for about an hour or so, then booked it home. Jon and I then donned our costumes (he a Mac employee, me a Beatnik), and headed off to Audrey & Andy's party. We stayed for about an hour, then went to go pick up Keith, Jimmy & the Ross', and headed out to Cami's party. It was a crazy, long, and fun night. I got to meet Crazy Mama, and chat with Andrea & Ben, and all around have a fun night.

Saturday we woke up and tried to get some chores done, then dropped the boys off at my mom's, and drove the girl's out ot my mother-in-laws. She was taking them to go see Cinderella. Then Jon and I went to Cheesecake for lunch with a bunch of his old friends. After we picked the kids up, we had to get ready for a big party with my dad's side of the family at my mom's house. Everyone had a great time, then we left to go straight to our Trunk-or-Treat. I was exhausted by the time we got home.

Yesterday was the Primary Program, and I am so sad that it was Chloe's last one. The kids all did great, they all memorized their parts, even Cooper. I was so proud of them all. After dinner last night we took advantage of the weather and went for a walk to go visit my Grandma & Grandpa Messana. I think our nightly walks will begin again.

Now I am trying to get myself geared up for another long & crazy week. Only 9 days until we leave for Disneyland. I am soooooooo excited!!!

Fantasy Friday

Today we are going straight into dream world, that is how it's a fantasy. Last night I had a dream that ol' Jonboy and I were an item. Not young Jon, but the Jon you see on tv. He was trying to talk me into having a baby. I was on the campaign trail with him. In the dream I had just had Macy also, so I have no idea how that all plays into the scenario. It was all very strange. In my dream Dorothy approved of it all, but Sam Beeson was highly against it. I know, I know, it is all crazy...

It's funny, I was going to have his baby, and I am still undecided. I'm curious what Obama is going to do to get my vote, I mean if Jon is visiting people in dreams...

More happiness through a lens...

This picture almost made me cry. Not because it is beautiful,
or the most fantastic picture ever, but because I will
forever be able to remember Macy's baby chick fuzzy hair.
I love her hair, none of my kids had hair, and her's is
so soft and sweet. I am so thankful for this picture.
(I love the color in it also!)

I am thankful that Ashley is still my friend, even after
my kids behaved like the photo above throughout the
whole 1 1/2 hours we were there. Mainly Cooper,
I was ready to hang him by his toes!!! She posted a few more
pics here, all this teasing is killing me!

Tagged (again)

I was tagged by Alisha, you are supposed to pick the 4th picture out of your 4th album. Here it is. We were in Vegas for my cousin's wedding, which was a renaissance them wedding at the Excalibur. The headbands were what my mom & sisters & I wore, but the boys decided to be silly. My cousin supplied my grandpa with the King's outfit. My grandpa really isn't that short, he was just being funny.

I tag Ashley, Ashley, Liz , Sheri, Cami and Erika.

My happiness today

To see a few more, go here...

Ashley, I love you!!!

Pics from the weekend

Thus far...

Today is school picture day. I began dreading it last night at about 8:30.

Remember, their ride picks them up @ 7:45.

We woke up at 6:25, Andy was up and picking out his clothes. He was dead set on wearing church clothes. I finally talked him out of making me steam his clothes, and just wear something else.

6:30 - Cooper wakes up shortly after, his nose is stuffy, and his throat hurts. He makes a beeline for the couch and tv.

6:40 - Buffy gets up and sits like a zombie on the sofa. I ask her to go spray and brush her hair so it will be dry on time for me to curl it. No response.

Jon is getting ready to leave, I ask him to go wake Chloe up because she needs to get in the shower. She comes in fully dressed already, I remind her she needs a shower so her hair will look nice. She throws a tantrum, but still showers.

Cooper is in the kitchen eating powdered donuts, Jon yells goodbye and shuts the door. Cooper comes running into the front room with the donuts, I ask him to eat in the kitchen and he freaks out. He was running to say goodbye to Jon, not to eat. He misses his chance to say goodbye to Jon, tears ensue for about 15 minutes.

7:00 - Chloe is done with the shower, I ask Cooper to go in and brush his teeth/wash his face. I am in the kitchen eating, and I hear the fighting begin. Andy & Cooper come running into the kitchen screaming. Crisis averted, we move on to the next.

7:15 - Cooper is freaking out that he doesn't get to pick out his clothes, Andy is doing his hair, Buffy is waking Macy up (not something I wanted), Chloe is blow drying her hair.

7:20 - I ask Andy to come in with a brush so I can help him with his hair. He says he put some hairspray in it, I don't really think anything of it. Andy is done.

7:30 - Cooper is dressed, teeth brushed, shoes on, face washed, hair done. It's a miracle!!!

7:35 - I go in to finish curling Chloe's hair, and then curl Buffy's hair. Andy & Cooper are getting the Alien creator out in the kitchen. I try to stop them, but really don't have the energy. Macy is crying in the living room. I am entering panic mode as I recognize what time it is...

7:40 - I make the rounds to make sure everyone is presentable, something is seriously wrong with Andy's hair. I walk over, and can't even put my fingers through it. Apparently Chloe decided to help with the hairspray, she didn't want to be embarrassed on picture day. I rush Andy to the bathroom sink, and handwash his hair. I finish brushing right as mom is honking.

I can't wait to see the pictures, I swear if they all smile cheesy smiles, I will kill them!!!

By the way, school photos cost me $72, for the smallest packages for all of them. It is dang expensive having so many kids...

~I am~

Yesterday my lesson was on knowing your personal, individual worth. As usual I gave my lesson, feeling like I am talking to a brick wall. A few girls, one especially, interacts a lot. The others, not so much. It is hard for me, becuase it makes me wonder if I am getting to them at all.

At the end of the lesson, I asked each of them (well I bribed them with homemade goodies next Sunday) to tell me something about themselves, that makes them special.

It was amazing how hard it was for all of them to tell me something, it was hard for me to think of something. Eventually they all did, with a little coaxing, but at least it happened. I really pray that they think about it, and realize how important each one of them are.

Recently I have been feeling not so important. I wouldn't say worthless, but I have had a hard time remembering that my Heavenly Father knows me personally, and knows what I am going through. On the Saturday morning session of conference, I had moved into my bedroom towards the end. I was snuggling with Macy, and worrying about her, and her problems. I was feeling very alone. President Uchtdorf came on, and started his talk on Hope. Instantly I knew why I had moved in to a room where it was quieter, and I knew that I was meant to hear his words. I knew Heavenly Father was with me, and even though I felt alone, I knew I wasn't. I was so thankful for that moment.

I am important, I am special. I have special things about me that make me important to a lot of people. I have to remember that. I also hope all of you know that you are important to, it may not seem like it. I'm not curing cancer, or saving starving children, but I am doing the best I can, for the people that need me. I think that's pretty good!

Fantasy Friday

My fantasy for today is to have a time machine, and go back to this morning, and talk myself out of going on the fieldtrip. Since I obviously can't do that, I may as well post the pictures of my day from Hell.

We went to Mother Nature's farm. Apparently everyone thought I was insane for going on a fieldtrip with a 7 week old, but I went on a fieldtrip to the Symphony when Cooper was only 4 weeks old, so I really thought this wouldn't be so bad.

We got there almost 35 minutes before the bus got there, so there was a lot of standing around. The boys were driving me crazy, and Macy decided she did not want to be in a stroller. I am soooooo thankful I brought the bjorn with me. Everyone got there, and it really wasn't so bad, except for the fact it was like 800 degrees, and I had a hot baby snuggled up against me, with a blanket over her do she wouldn't fry, and I was carrying a bag that weighed like 30 pounds. It was just a very long day.

I am so happy that I got to have Cafe Rio with Dorothy, that made my day. The boys were pretty good, and even though I had to balance Macy and try to eat my Pork salad (extra meat, I deserved it), it was worth it.

We got home, unloaded, and had just enough time to nurse and change a diaper before I had to load up again to go pick the older kids up from school. I am so happy to be home, I just really wish Jon was coming home today. I am exhausted, and I am really hoping I can make it through another 24 hours without him!

Weekend Update

We always go to the fair on opening day, we are insane, but it is only a $1 to get in, and when you have 5 kids, you have to do it cheap. We always park at Jimmy's house, and then walk the rest of the way. For some reason my foot has really been bothering me, so Macy and I kept a slower pace. You can see how far ahead everyone else was, and Andy felt bad so he started walking back to keep me company. What a sweetie!

The kids being goofballs.

This was the 1st ride they went on,
Cooper was terrified. I am glad he
decided to keep trying other rides!

Saturday night we had Andy's b-day party at a park. It was FREEZING. The kids didn't seem to mind, but I was frozen!

I talked Andy into a Krispy Kreme cake, so
I didn't have to make one. It was
one of the easiest parties ever!!!

Isn't she beautiful???

At about the 10th second, Coop runs into the wall. It is so funny. I love this kid!!!

The Incredible Hulk Bug

Cooper got into the costume bin.
I especially love the collar from his
church clothes hanging out.

I've made a huge mistake

Last week I discovered that Super Target sells freshly made Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookies. I have had 4 today. This is very bad...

(Is it bad if I have eaten nothing else?)

I did get most of Halloween up.
Buffy wanted to show a picture of it.

What's the best way to
make up to your mom for being rotten?
Finally smiling, this is making
our relationship much better!
Is she the cutest thing ever???
(I have no idea why they are
blurry, sorry!)

P.S. I also got like 6 loads of laundry done yesterday,
and I watched Project Runway,
and I DIDN"T go to McDonald's,
but I also went to the Grocery store,
and my kids DID get out of their jammies.
I think I did pretty good!
