Knocked up!

Most of you guessed correctly, I've got a bun in the oven.

I am freaking out. I have been wanting another baby for the last 4 years, but Jon was totally adamant that we were through. The kids and I have been trying to convince him to no avail. I had finally just started to accept that 4 really is a good number. Life is good right now, and it is only getting better. Then out of the blue, I'm pregnant.

I am so excited, but soooo terrified. There are a lot of things going on in our lives right now. My work is changing, money is pretty tight, it really doesn't seem like the best time for a baby. I am just believing that there is an amazing reason that Heavenly Father has chosen this time to send us a new one.

The kids are super excited, it was so fun telling them. Buffy was squealing with delight. They were all so happy. In some ways, it will be like having a 1st baby all over again. It will be just me and cinq (that's 5 for those of you who don't speak french). No toddler hanging around trying to smother the baby when I am not looking, no other diapers, no potty training. Plus I will have an almost 12 year old. Chloe was a huge help when Cooper was born, and that was 4 years ago, I can't imagine how much she will help with this one. Buffy loved helping with Cooper, but was so small she couldn't accomplish a lot, so she is so excited that she will be big enough to help me.

The big stress is, we were done. We have nothing for babies around here. No crib, no stroller, no clothes, no swings, no carseat, no nothing... I am also already freaking out about coming up with a cool name. I love different names, Andy's is the only super regular one, and that is cause he is named after his dad. So I am already writing lists, we will see...

I am due August 29th, what a fun summer. I can tell you that I will be living in my pool this summer. At least our birthday/holiday streak isn't broken.

August - Cinq
September - Me
October - Andy, halloween
November - Cooper, Thanksgiving
December - Chloe, Christmas
January - Jon, our anniversary
February - Buffy, Valentine's Day

Not a break in sight...

P.S. I have added a google search bar on the side. Use it please... If you are doing a search, might as well help cinq get a car seat while you are at it, right?!?

A Big Surprise

Can you guess what it is?

I am a Guitar Hero

Santa brought Guitar Hero to us this year. At first I wasn't very excited, then I played. I don't ever want to leave my house again. I am a total rock star! I can't wait to have a Guitar Hero party. It is the coolest game ever!

One thing I hate about Christmas, is the havoc is causes on my house. There is not a room in my house that does not look like a tornado came through. We even tried very hard to keep up on it yesterday. So I am dreading actually having to start going through and organize, clean and take care of everything!

Did you have a good Christmas? I hope so, can't wait to see everyone's blogs as they catch us all up...

Christmas Day

I love his excitement!

Buffy was super excited about her apron,
anything that cobins Legos & Star Wars is great with Andy!

The Girls got matching Rescue Pets,
Cooper just always smiled before opening presents!
WE simplified again this year. We were done in about 15 minutes. Chloe's big present was art classes with her best friend. She is super excited. We got Buffy, er I mean Santa got Buffy one of those Disney cameras. Total crap. I am so sad, she was so excited, and after we opened it and realized how crappy it was I told her we were going to take it back, she was in tears. So now I have to find her another camera. Everyone was vary happy. I got a great jacket that I was hoping for, and I think Jon liked his loot!

Is that the cutest Santa Baby Girl?

Waiting patiently for the chaos to begin,
Christmas morning is always so great at mom's!

Mimi & Toms, Grandma & Trina

We had a great morning, opened presents. Ate a yummy breakfast, got to visit with Gigi. Michale & TC had breakfast with us also, and they gave mom this present. We all got a good laugh out of that! I came home, the kids ripped into their toys, Jon & Chloe played Guitar Hero, and I slept. WE are about to get ready to head over to Josephine's for my mom's family's celebration. I'll post again when I can! Merry Christmas!

Christmas fun...

This is the best picture I could get of the
kids before church. Needless to say I was a little
frustrated. We did make it to church on time,
can I get a WOO-HOO?!? I wanted to try
again after church, but totally forgot!

The cousins having fun ,
random Jimmy, Cami & goofball Chloe!

Waiting for the program to start...

Cooper way excited, Joey reciting a poem

Chloe plucked Jingle Bells, the girls sang along
Andy played Ode to Joy & Jingle Bells

Sunday night we all went to my mom's to start a new Christmas Eve Eve tradition. This is the 1st year that we weren't going to my Grandma's house on Christmas Eve, and my mom thought we would start our own thing, but we chose the night before Christmas Eve so those of us who still had other family obligations could do both! It was a great night, we had a little program. We had yummy spaghetti & meatballs. We had 2 sets of Carolers come. The kids got to open presents, actually we all did. Then we just sat and visited and enjoyed each other before the real craziness kicked in.

Jon was Cooper's Secret Santa

I was Buffy's, and Cooper was Andy's.

Chloe was mine, and Andy was Chloe's.

Buffy was Jon's, cute kiddos in their jammies, ready for bed!

The Secret Santa was not as successful as last year, everyone knew, they were not very good at keeping it secret. Maybe next year. The funniest thing was when we asked Cooper to tell us some nice things he did for Andy, and he said "I really didn't do anything nice for him." Classic, he got the message. We went out and had dinner at Jon's mom's house, and it was great seeing everyone. I really enjoy my in-laws, and the nieces and nephews are always fun. We were home by 7:45. We were in bed by 10:15. It was very nice.

Almost forgot...

I got 12 Christmas Cards in the mail today. It just made my day, I think that is my most favorite part of the whole season. I love seeing all the darling pictures, and hearing about all the fun stuff. Just had to tell you...

Holiday Fun...

I think Cooper realized he wasn't color coordinated,
so he really didn't belong in this photo.
(I'm kidding, he was just being a pill!)

We have been so busy around here. Cooper being home really put a kink in my plans, but somehow I think I accomplished most of what I needed to. Last night was the kids Holiday concert. Buffy sang with her class, Andy played the recorder with the other 3rd graders, and had a solo. He was great!!! Chloe played violin with the other kids, and sang a solo. She did fabulous! She is so darling. Then I stayed up late last night wrapping teachers gifts, and making treats for all of the kids classes. I was amazingly in bed by midnight, I don't know how that happened. On top of that, I was up and ready to go on time this morning. Everyone was cute and full of Christmas Cheer, and we made it to school early even! I stayed at the school all morning, and just went from class to class, so I had a chance to be with all of them for a little bit. Now I have a ton of cleaning to do, and we are making more goodies to take to people tonight. I just had to stop for a minute and keep you all up to date with us!

Pictures of my days...

This is how I plan to spend my day today, catching up on all of my laundry. Wish me luck!
In between loads I will be addressing postcards that no one will even be able to tell are of my family. I love Christmas...

This is how I spent my day yesterday, from 8:30 to 3:30 I made 23 of these babies. Cami invited me to try to sell them at the lipgloss party last night. I sold 2, unfortunately I said I would slit my wrists if I only sold one. I was really looking forward to that! So I am contemplating putting them on Etsy. I need some feedback. Also if anyone wants a quick gift for a teacher, or Visiting Teaching ladies, etc... Let me know. They would be super fun with a giftcard inside!!!

Oh, I almost forgot, Coop's got pink eye. Perfect, exactly what we need this close to Christmas, pretty much close enough to ensure that one of my kids, or possible myself, will be contagious on Christmas Day. Merry Freaking Christmas!!!

Now I guess I should mention that I was still able to sweep my kitchen floor, do 2 loads of laundry, shower and do my hair, and also make dinner yesterday. It wasn't a total waste of a day. I also got to get a massage from Dorothy, which really made it all worth it, then we went to Walmart after the show, and had a great time laughing with each other. I dropped her off at 11:30, and Brian reminded us that we are no longer 18, and what are we doing staying out that late on a school night. For the record, I was very tired this morning, I did not fall asleep until almost 2:00 last night. I went back to bed for 40 minutes after the kids left this morning.

I realized very early on this holiday season, that I needed to simplify. So I ventured out, simplifying all sorts of things, including my Christmas Cards this year. This was very hard for me, but I did it anyways. No newsletter, nothing fancy, just a postcard that I digiscrapped. I just got them in the mail today, and I am very frustrated. They look terrible. For some reason the picture turned out very dark. Anyhow, I have them down at the bottom of the blog, so you can all see the real thing. I couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I ordered some of each. I'm weird, I know!

I am really neglecting my blog, I am so sorry! I'll start where I left off...

Thursday We had a fieldtrip to the Nutcracker. I went with Buffy's class, she finally agreed to let me be a chaperone. I also took Cooper out of his class, to have him be with me. That was a mistake. Buffy didn't listen to me about wearing the right shoes (we walk to the Symphony Hall from school), so the whole way home she was whining about her feet hurting, and Cooper was whining about being tired. I can't decide if that hour of happiness was worth all the whining afterwards... That night we had an ornament exchange with the Relief Society. It was just what I needed, I really needed to get out of the house that night. I had a fun time talking to the super cool chickies in my ward.

Friday I woke up with a cold, not at all what I needed. My husband was superfabulous and came home from work to help me get the kids off to school. I was able to sleep for just a bit, then I had to get up and get going. Sick or not, I needed to get some shopping done. I am happy to say that I got most of it done that day. I came home, cleaned, and was able to get some wrapping done.

Saturday was our annual Christmas Lunch with my mom & siblings. Unfortunately nothing tasted good because I was still sick, but we still had a great time. I am so lucky to have such a great family, and to be able to have so much fun with them. I came home and took a nap, then we got ready for our ward party. We had a good time, the kids had a great time, and I was happy that we were home by 8:00. Jon went out to the movies with the guys, and I fell asleep on the couch watching SNL.

Sunday I still felt terrible, so I stayed home. I got released from the Primary. I am so excited, but also a little sad. They all got home and we had lunch, then watched Pirates #3. What a great movie. Then we watched some special on Free Masons. We ate dinner, vegged some more, and went to bed early.

I am feeling better today, not 100%, but I think I am past the worst of it. I am feeling the Christmas crunch, bigtime. I hope I can accomplish all I want to do before the big day, we shall see. I did do a lot today, so I am feeling very productive, nothing better than that!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

I found this song through Kayleen. She can't get enough of the song, and I can't get enough of the video. Hope you all enjoy!

Much Accomplished

I love days like these. I woke up, and was ready to go. Got the kids off to school , got ready, and was out of the house within a half hour. I got some Christmas shopping done, and then picked the kids up from school (they had a half day). I came home, and cleaned the kitchen. I did a bunch of work for the Trailer Parks. I even got 2 presents wrapped. Jon came home, we got the bathroom cleaned, the living room cleaned, the dining room leaned, our bedroom cleaned. Everything is clean. I made brownies, then made a yummy dinner. We had a super fabulous couple, The Cooper's over for dinner. The kids were actually pretty well behaved, thank goodness, and we really enjoyed visiting and getting to know them. The kids are in bed now, the dishes are done, my house is clean, there is a new Pushing Daisies ready to be watched, I just popped a sleeping pill, and I am looking forward to watching my show in bed, and slowly drifting off to La-La land. Yea for today!

Let's just hope we can keep this momentum going tomorrow!!!

You're my boy Blue!

So I got to have a super fabulous lunch with my boys today. I have been looking forward to this for awhile now, but I was even more excited when I realized Jimmy wasn't going to tell me his Payson story until lunch. The story was good, but I'm not sure it was gold brother.

The best part of the whole meal happened in the parking garage. I am so glad Brent was with me to experience it. The stupid kiosk thing wouldn't accept Jimmy's validation, so we had to back up to go to the next gate. It accepted mine, but took awhile to accept my debit card for the $1 fee. Jimmy was behind us, and was already ticked off, so as I am paying he yells at me to drive really fast as we pull out, because he was going to go also. He made it, but I was secretly hoping the gate would crash down on his car, that would have been classic! Then as he caught up to us he threw his parking ticket out the window. Classic Jimmy.

It's hailing outside right now, I love it!

Anyhow, boys it was way fun, and I can't wait to do it again in a couple weeks. Maybe we can get in to The 2 Molly's next time... Do you think they serve brunch?

Music of my Life

I finally added one of those music players. I guess I have been having a hard time trying to figure out what to put on it. So right now it has 6 or 7 songs that I can't seem to listen to enough right now. I listen to them over and over throughout the day. Hope you enjoy, and I will switch as the soundtrack to my life switches.

Especially "Please call me baby." Amazing song, I can't describe the feelings I have when I hear it. Hope you like it too!

Weekend Review

So we did decide to go out on Friday. The kids were fine, but I was concerned about whether or not our roof would hold up. I am happy to report that it looks like it might finally be fixed! Yippee!!! So we went to Jon's office party at Tia Rosa's, and had a great time. I had a fun time visiting with my fabulous sister-on-law, whom I never get to see. (Julie, I am talking to you!) Afterwards we headed over to Brian & Dorothy's house, where we sat and laughed for a few hours. I totally needed that.

Saturday morning we slept in, which was wonderful. As Jon and I laid in bed we decided we would just have a fun family day. Mistake #1. As soon as you designate it as a day for fun, you know that there is no possibility that any fun will actually occur. We decided we would quickly get chores done, then head off to the mall for lunch and a visit with Santa. Mistake #2. Who in the world can ever get their children to do chores quickly? Even with the promise of fun afterwards? Not us. By the time we got chores done, everyone showered and ready, Cooper had fallen asleep. WE finally get him up, and head off to Ruby's. The meal was good, and the kids were well behaved, and there was a sweet baby sleeping in his daddy's arms behind us that I had fun watching. So we headed off to see Santa. He was about to go on break, and we really didn't want to walk around the mall for 45 minutes and wait, so we just left. The kids were not very happy. Mistake #3. Don't tell the kids we are not going to see Santa after previously promising we will. Bad news all around. It was a long grumpy ride home. I was then back in a funk, and nothing could pull me out of it. I hate it when I get like that, and it doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it is crippling! So we hung out the rest of the night at home, the kids watched TV and played video games, and I vegged. Jon was a wonderful hubby and went to the grocery store for me. I adore that man!

Sunday morning went well, it was our primary program, so I was especially stressed about everyone looking cute and us being on time. We were, they did, and I am happy to say I did it all by myself while Jon was at meetings, and I never yelled, not even once! A very good morning! We came home, and the kids had eaten so much at the primary party, they weren't hungry, so Jon and I were able to enjoy BLT's together with no children, mine with avocado, yummy!!! We watched Annie, and snuggled by the fire. Then we headed off to meet Amy & CW, and Keith & Becky and their kids at the temple. The temple was beautiful, and it was cold (which makes it even better). The kids had a great time, and it was just the perfect ending to the weekend.

I am sad that there are no pictures to show though, so sorry. I guess I am slacking...

Should I Stay or Should I go?

Chloe was up in the middle of the night, needed a breathing treatment.

Cooper woke up a few hours later to crawl into bed with us.

Shortly after, Andy was awake with a fever.

All children were awake by 5:00 a.m., yes you read correctly, 5:00.

Andy was acting insane, not sick at all, so I was a terrible mother and sent him to school.

Before we left, Andy slammed Cooper's hand in the bathroom door (not intentionally). I told Cooper he could choose to stay home or go to school when we dropped the kids off. As we pulled into the parking lot, Cooper yelled "Mom, I choose to stay home." Big surprise!

We ran out to Jon's office to do a few things for work. I remember that I am also supposed to be babysitting the boy sometime today. I find out when, and realize we have enough time for a quick stp to CostPlus, and then lunch at the Duck.

After I get my lunch (to go) I get a phone call from the school nurse, Andy's has a temperature of 102. Mother of the year people, I know.

We head off to get him. I make the mistake of letting them give him Motrin. We get home, and it's like he is not even sick. I am ready to kill him and Cooper!

Poor little Tommy isn't feeling well, so he is very good and calm for me. Yea for me, sad for him...

We actually have a sitter tonight, I have so been looking forward to going out, it is Jon's office party, free food, what is better? Then we were going to meet up and with Brian & Dorothy to party like it's 1999.

Should I stay or should I go???

These are for you, I hope you enjoy!!!

Stage 4

I have been working around the house this morning. We had 2 accidents in bed last night, so laundry was at the top of my list, plus a lot of straightening and other things that I have neglected over the last few days.

I have come to realize that I have entered a new stage in my life.

Stage 1 - Getting married and learning how to get along with another human being, figuring out all your quirks, etc...

Stage 2 - Getting ready to have kids, being pregnant (all together). It is so funny when I look back at that time when I was 1st pregnant, I knew things were going to change, but never in my earthly dreams could have realized how much everything would change.

Stage 3 - Life with kids, and all the other responsibilities you have. Sometimes it is total chaos, other times not so bad. I can remember looking forward to naptime so I could shower. I remember days where absolutely nothing would get accomplished, then other days where I would feel like Supermom, with a clean house, happy kids, dinner on the table, and looking good for my man.

I have entered Stage 4, home alone. I know I am not completely alone, and that it is only for 1/2 days. But I feel alone. I miss my Cooper, I miss all of my kids. I am enjoying my time here and there, but mostly I am feeling like I am not ready to be moving to this stage. I am ready for more chaos, more warm bodies to hold. Unfortunately Jon and I are at a disagreement on this subject, so I am here, in a very quiet house, feeling off. On the plus side, I do enjoy after the kids leave for school, being able to shower, then sit on the couch and read the scriptures in silence. I feel like my dad, I can remember finding him in his office studying, whenever he had a quiet moment.

Now don't get me wrong, I like quiet, and I am glad my kids go to school. There are days when they are home that I want to lose my mind. But I have always liked a crowd, I enjoy noise and chaos, and energy, and laughter. My house has a lot of all of that... I guess I am just not ready for things to slow down.

Sorry, I'm a slacker!

Thursday night, before the storm...

Saturday Morning, after the storm!

Fun time at the movies

Super yummy pizza afterwards...

So you see what kept me busy this weekend. I love the rain, except when it does things like this to my house. I love my old house, except when it rains, and things like this happen!

Chloe had a fun party, we went to see Enchanted (if you haven't seen it yet, you must go, it is absolutely darling!). Then we went to ZPizza for lunch, and then the girls went home. Very low key, just what I needed. Nothing to have to fret over!

Life is super crazy, and for some reason I am just not in the mood to shop for Christmas. I am in desperate need of a mood lifter I think. I am so far behind, it is not even funny. I am definitely in a funk, and I have to shake it off, fast!!!

I didn't want you all to think I had dropped off the face of the earth, I promise I will get back on the wagon, soon!

Happy Birthday

I can't believe she is 11 today! She is growing up way too fast. We are off to the movies for her birthday, and some other fun with her friends. I am so proud of her, and sooooo thankful she is mine! My life wouldn't be the same without you sweet girl, I don't think anyone's would be! You are a major part of the glue that sticks this family together! Thanks for being the stickiest...
